Step 1: Download from App Store 📥

For iOS Users

Currently, MononoMori is available on the iOS platform.

  1. Open the App Store (or tap the link below).
  2. Type “MononoMori” in the search bar.
  3. Tap the “Get” button to start the download.
  4. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password if prompted.

System Requirements

  • iOS Version: iOS 16.0 or later
  • Device: iPhone 8 or later models
  • Free Space: Approximately 150MB of free space recommended

Step 2: First Launch & Setup 🚀

Once installed, tap the MononoMori icon 🌲 on your home screen to launch the app.

1. Welcome Tour

When you open the app, a short guided tour introducing the core concepts of MononoMori will begin:

  • 🌿 Forest: Your living space
  • 📦 Item: Your cherished belongings
  • 🏷️ Memory: The stories behind your items

2. Permission Settings

To provide the best experience, MononoMori requires a few permissions:

  • 📸 Camera: Used for taking photos of items and barcode scanning
  • 🖼️ Photo Library: Used to import existing photos from your album
  • 🔔 Notifications (Optional): To deliver organization reminders and important alerts

Tip: Privacy is our top priority. All data is securely stored on your device or your personal iCloud.

Step 3: Enable iCloud Sync ☁️

MononoMori uses Apple’s CloudKit technology to seamlessly sync data across all your devices.

  1. Ensure “iCloud Sync” is turned on in the app settings.
  2. Verify that iCloud Drive is enabled in your device’s Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud.

  • 🔒 Automatic data backup and protection
  • 🔄 Smooth data transfer when switching devices

Step 4: Language Settings 🌐

MononoMori supports the following languages:

  • English
  • Japanese
  • Chinese (Simplified & Traditional)

The app automatically follows your device’s language settings, but you can manually change it anytime from Settings > Language.

Troubleshooting 🔧

If you cannot download:

  • Check your internet connection.
  • Verify your Apple ID balance and payment methods (verification may be required even for free apps).
  • Check your device’s storage capacity.

Issues after installation:

  • If the app doesn’t launch, try restarting your device.
  • If the issue persists, try deleting and reinstalling the app.
