Chapter 1Meet

One photo, and everything on the table has a name.

When you add items, choose Gather. Take one photo and a pencil traces each thing in it, then writes its name. Pencil is only a guess: tap to change it, and it is all inked when you plant. Recording just one thing works too: point at it, or simply type a name.

Where it lives, in one search.

Home, the office, your parents' place: each is a grove. Rooms, cupboards and drawers are the trees on it, as many layers deep as you like. Later, search the forest map for a word or two and the tree it lives in lights up, its tag telling you exactly where.

Out the door together, and looked after.

Put things from all over the house into one basket, and a path leads you room by room as you pack. When something is about to expire, the sparrow brings a letter, at most one a day. To look after things with family, share a grove with them as companions; joining is free.

Not using it for now? Let it sleep a while.

Off-season clothes, a gift you have not decided about: let it hibernate. It leaves your everyday Items list while its place and records stay, and Wake Up brings it back. Look through the forest map's binoculars and choose Resting to see what has not been touched in a long time.

Choose how it left: sold, given away, donated, used up, lost, thrown away, or a way you add yourself. What you want to say is written on the back of its tag. Hold the button and the sparrow carries the tag to the Memory Forest.
