Welcome to MononoMori

MononoMori helps you record and cherish items across your home, workspace, and hobby collections—helping you remember what things you own, where they live, and the stories they hold. When starting out, there is no need to catalog every room and shelf all at once. Begin with a single item you frequently look for, get comfortable with saving and searching, and gradually build out your forest at your own natural pace.

Your First Three Steps

1. Download & Installation: Check device compatibility, permissions, and what to expect on first launch.
2. Create Your First Woodland: Start with an intuitive real-world area as a Woodland, such as “Home” or “Study”.
3. Add Your First Item: Start with a clear name; photos, tags, locations, and details can be added later.

Three Key Concepts to Know

• Woodland: A broad living space, such as your Home, Office, or Storage Unit.
• Location: A specific physical storage spot within a Woodland, like a Wardrobe, Desk Drawer, or Storage Bin. Locations can be nested to whatever depth you prefer.
• Item: Any possession you want to record, track, and find. An item can be assigned to a location or saved simply with a name.

Woodlands and Locations are intuitive ways to help you find your items—they do not need to correspond 1:1 with rigid floor plans. See Woodlands and Location Architecture for details.

Exploring the Main Interface

The bottom navigation bar provides four core destinations: Forest, Overview, Memory, and More.

• Forest: Browse and manage your Woodlands and physical Locations.
• Overview: Browse all your items collectively in grid, list, or compact view.
• Memory: Visit your Memory Forest and view items you have bid farewell to.
• More: Access Data Management, Category Management, Settings, and care tools.
