Hello, I’m the creator of MononoMori.
Thank you for choosing MononoMori. When I created this little world, I had one guiding principle: your life’s records belong only to you.
I truly believe the best way to protect your privacy is to not collect your personal data in the first place. This policy will explain, in the simplest terms, how MononoMori safeguards your privacy.
The Short Version:
All your data—your items, spaces, and photos—is stored only on your own device or in your own iCloud account. My servers have zero personal information about you. It’s that simple.
Your Data, Your Forest (How Information is Handled)
1. Your Data Stays Local
Everything you create in MononoMori:
- Every item record you add
- Every photo you take or import
- Your custom-designed spaces and tags
- And all other content you create
…is stored securely and encrypted right on your iPhone or iPad. No one can see it but you.
2. Optional iCloud Sync
To help you sync across your devices, you can choose to enable iCloud Sync.
- This feature is completely optional. You are in full control.
- The syncing process is end-to-end encrypted by Apple. This means even Apple can’t read your data, so there’s no way I could either.
- All data is stored in your private iCloud space, which I cannot access.
3. Anonymous Data to Help Me Improve
To fix bugs and understand which features are most loved, MononoMori may collect some completely anonymous technical information. For example:
- Anonymous crash logs
- Device type and OS version (e.g., “iPhone 15, iOS 18”)
- Feature usage frequency (e.g., how many times “Search” was used, but never who used it)
Rest assured, this information can never be linked to your personal identity. It’s like an anonymous suggestion box that helps me make the app better for you. You can also turn this off anytime in your device’s settings.
My Promise: Zero Third-Party Tracking
I want MononoMori to be a pure and peaceful space. Therefore, I solemnly promise:
- NO third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics).
- NO third-party ads.
- NO user tracking codes of any kind.
- NEVER will your data be shared with any third party.
Your Absolute Control Over Your Data
You are always the master of your data.
- Access & Modify: You can view and edit any of your data at any time.
- Delete: You can delete any record, or uninstall the app to erase all local data.
- Export: I’m working hard to provide better data export options.
Children’s Privacy
MononoMori welcomes friends of all ages. Since the app doesn’t collect personal information, it’s an extra-safe space for younger users. If you are a parent, you can be confident that the little world your child creates in MononoMori will stay right there on their device.

If this policy changes in the future, I will notify you within the app. But please know that my core promise—to never collect your personal data on my servers—will never change.
